I have 85 hours on my 4300 Hydro. Today, while driving my 4300, slowly moving forward(1,800 rpms), on flat land,..... all of a sudden the rpms jumped up to 2,500 or so, the forward peddle went all the way down and the tractor surged forward going very fast for about 4 seconds and then it went back to moving slowly again, happened 2 times. Anyone have any experience with anything similar to this. Thanks, Ray

I have noticed this phenomena on our JD4300 hydro, which was new last August and now has 170 hours. This happened mainly when the weather was cold (during all of those snowblowing sessions), and more toward the beginning of the use session. I noticed it as soon as I would remove my foot from the forward peddle to apply it to the brake. While my foot was in the air, the tractor would go faster. This is our first tractor, and 1 more than I ever figured we would own, so I thought it was just kind of how they were and adjusted my reflexes/stopping distances to solve the problem.... ....
